Spencer Country Inn Wedding

Late-Summer Country Wedding Photography

The Spencer Country Inn is the perfect place for country wedding photography.  Late summer weddings can offer some of the best light of the year.  The sun goes down earlier, usually between the ceremony and the reception.  Kristina and John set their wedding later in the day because they wanted to have a first look.  The effect on the groom is dramatic.  I often site these images when couples ask about a first look.  I also used a couple of these images in a prior blog post where I discuss the first look, which is sometimes also called “the reveal.”  Here is a little bit of the history of this romantic spot from the Spencer Country Inn website:

“Purchased in 1982 by Dave and Phyllis Ekleberry, the Inn underwent two years of painstaking renovations, keeping much of the original architecture and ambient surroundings intact.  Today, the Inn stands on 130 acres of quiet rolling fields and unspoiled woodland playing host to many marriage proposals, anniversaries, business meetings, corporate parties, wedding receptions and many other special occasions.”Boston Wedding Photographer
